Long Night of Museums in the Old City!
A guided tour of the “Destruction and Reconstruction of the Old Town” exhibition at The Heritage Interpretation Center is the best introduction to the history of the Old Town.
Here you will learn a lot about its destruction and reconstruction, as well as the circumstances of the inclusion of the historic center of Warsaw on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You will see fragments of the Old Town wall discovered by archaeologists, the only color photos of the Warsaw Uprising taken by Ewa Faryszewska, photographs of the successive stages of reconstruction, supplemented by information about the Capital Reconstruction Bureau. You will learn about the most important architects of the reconstruction and their studios.
